Ingredients:
- 2 tbps of Tarboush Falafel Seasoning
- 2 cups of dried chickpeas (not canned or cooked)
- 1 cup of fresh parsley, stems removed
- ½ cup of fresh cilantro leaves, stems removed
- 1 small red onion
- 7-8 garlic cloves
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp of black pepper
- 1-2 tsp of salt
- 2 tbsp of toasted sesame seeds
Instructions:
- Place dried chickpeas and baking soda in a bowl filled with cool water. Soak overnight. Drain them and pat them dry
- Add chickpeas herbs, and spices into a food processor
- Transfer mixture into the fridge for at least 1 hour
- Fill medium saucepan about 3 in with oil on medium-high until oil temp is 350 ℉
- Shape falafel patties into ½ in thick each
- Carefully place patties in the fryer for about 3-5 min or until crispy and brown
- Place the falafel patties on a paper towel to drain excess oil
- Serve with tahini and your choice of vegetables. Enjoy!
